Where is the Prostate gland and what does it do?

The prostate gland is a walnut-sized, semen storing gland located between the rectum and the neck of the urinary bladder in the male.  It is glandular and muscular.

What are you eating that could be causing a swollen prostate gland?

The location of the prostate necessitates  giving meticulous attention to everything the male eats.  The perfect set-up for a swollen prostate, inflammation and cancer is obvious given the fact that it is located between the rectum and the bladder.  The prostate can be an easy victim with the fermenting and putrefying waste in the colon on one hand and the  waste elements from the kidneys and the bladder on the other.  The prostate usually grows with aging.  Also, your diet has a lot to do with the proper function of your prostate.

What does the Prostate do?

Its job is to propel semen through the penis.  As a man's prostate gland swells with aging the propulsion of the ejaculation is not as forceful as it used to be, same goes for the stream of urine.  So it might be a good idea to identify a malfunction and get it taken care of as soon as possible. The prostate gland is in very close proximity to the rectum.  So the excessive accumulation of feces and other waste matter in the region of the anus and the rectum can become clogged which can apply pressure to the prostate and cause problems also in the testicles. Colon irrigations are the first line of defense to prevent this accumulation of waste matter in the rectum.  Remember, diet plays a huge role.  Lots of fruits and veggies and cut down on caffeine.  Too much can have detrimental effects on the prostate and will cause a swollen prostate.
